Reporting directly to the Director General of the Ministry of Defense and the IDF Chief of the General Staff, the administration maintains strong ties with all branches of the IDF and the Ministry of Defense to ensure the successful execution of various projects, primarily focused on Israel's borders. The administration adopts an integrated approach, collaborating closely with the IDF and the Ministry of Defense throughout the stages of engineering design, product planning, and budget management. This collaborative effort extends to shared infrastructures, execution, and ongoing maintenance, ensuring both operational effectiveness and efficiency. Specializing in complex projects, the Security Fence and Border Administration integrates all IDF branches and additional Israeli defense bodies. Its responsibilities encompass implementing Israel's operational response within the country's borders, covering security barriers, fences, roads, national sites, and more. Additionally, the administration oversees the maintenance of all border protection components. With over 1,100 km of security fence along Israel's borders, along with thousands of kilometers of communication fibers, the Security Fence and Border Administration strengthens and expands its operational response along the country's borders at all times.
