UdiAdam.jpgMaj. Gen. (Res.) Udi Adam served in the IDF for thirty years and held a variety of senior combat and command positions including armored brigade commander, armored division commander, Head of the Technology and Logistics Division, and Head of the Northern Command.

Following his release from the military, Adam worked for five years as the director of Israel's Nuclear Research Center and the head of the government's Rotem Industries  (a company specializing in the commercialization of advanced and innovative technology and science).

From July 2013 until his appointment as MOD Director General, Adam served as the chairman of Israel Military Initiatives (IMI). He holds a B.A. in Psychology and Political Science from Bar Ilan Univeristy, and an M.A. in Strategic Studies from the School of Advanced Military Studies in Paris. Maj. Gen. (Res.) Udi Adam began serving as the Ministry of Defense Director General in May 2016.
